How We Do Business - Warehouse Farming

The steps to commercialisations are made easy with the professional team at Vertical Farm Systems. We follow a robust planning process to take customers on a journey that is smooth, diligent and transparent.

  • 1. Planning
The first step involves undertaking a feasibility study to determine the most appropriate installation. Once the decision to proceed is given, the supply contracts are set and the architecture, engineering and regulatory approvals commence.

  • 2. Building
A Vertical Farm System requires an enclosed climate-controlled growing area with access to electricity and water.

One XT432 Farm Block requires 43 m2 (including access ways) of floor space. Any number of these units can be installed in an existing structure such as a warehouse or in custom built infrastructure, which will be identified in the feasibility study.

  • 3. Fitout
After the building preparation is complete, specialist sub-contractors will fitout the facility including Vertical Farm Systems equipment, cold rooms, auxiliary equipment, amenities and store rooms.

Vertical Farm Systems will also provide the ongoing consumables including seed and nutrients and conduct a basic labour familiarisation course.

  • 4. Sales
The last step commences with the growing, sales and distribution of the produce. Vertical Farms Systems will always be ready to assist with servicing and technical support.
